    Fall Recipes

Autumnal/fall flavors are some of my favorites. It's the start of comfort food season and there are so many wonderful ingredients to make use of. Try some of the highlights:

    Pumpkin and squash

Pumpkin is not just a favorite in the US - as well as a classic pumpkin pie from scratch you'll find international ideas like Taiwanese pumpkin rice noodles, kaddo bowrani (Afghan pumpkin) and Italian pumpkin ravioli (tortelli di zucca). Try other squash, too, in lots of different ways, such as grilled butternut squash with chimichurri, maple roasted buttercup squash, or delicata squash soup.

    Apples and pears

Apples are such a versatile fruit from baked in apple snack cake to blended in an apple banana smoothie. They work in savory dishes too, from apple and cheddar cheese Yorkshire pudding to a beet apple salad. Pears may not be quite as popular but can be so tasty, too, like a French pear cake or pear jam.
