    About Caroline's Cooking

    Caroline's Cooking

    Welcome!

I hope you are in the mood to try something new! Here you'll find classic recipes from cuisines around the world, as well as some creative bites to inspire. I try to keep things seasonal, and on the healthier side, but some treats are too tasty to pass up now and then...

I have been lucky enough to live in and travel to a few different places, and that's reflected in the recipes you'll find. But don't worry, I've tried to break down all the steps to make them easy to follow, with hints and tips for success. Many recipes have videos to help walk you through as well.

    Who is Caroline?

I originally hail from Scotland, and via a few other places have landed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where I live with my husband and two young sons. All of the family have pretty healthy appetites, enjoy food and are on the whole not too fussy (hooray!).

I grew up following my mum around the kitchen and often took the opportunity to help out (especially when it meant I got to lick the bowl). It didn't take long for me to develop a love of cooking which only grew as I got older.

I was incredibly lucky to travel often with my family, both near and far, and this love of travel only grew in adulthood. I have been fortunate to visit countries all over the world, as well as live in a few different continents, including spells in Spain, Germany and Australia.

Food has always been one of the ways I have loved exploring different cultures, and I find it a great way to both re-live memories and continue exploring while at home.

How did Caroline's Cooking get started?

A few years ago, a friend suggested I start a blog, given the various snacks and lunches I would take to the playground. After some debate, I took the plunge and here it is!

I have to say, it was the best decision. Not only do I love seeing when people have success with my recipes, but working on new ones is a great way to expand my kids' palates. And thankfully they love trying different foods.

We try to eat relatively seasonally, so as well as being able to explore by cuisine, you can search by season, too. You'll find recipes for every course, from breakfast and dinner to dessert and drinks.

So take a look around, let me know what think and hopefully take some inspiration to get cooking!

    Never miss a post!
