Hope you enjoy! So simmering the berries like that will in effect give you a simple syrup which you can use just as it is to add a little sweetness and flavor, separately from infusing the gin. To infuse, though, I think you want to have as much depth of flavor and as little water added as possible, so if you made more of a jam first, that would be an alternative to using the whole berries, if you wanted to try that.

Oh, your combinations sound delicious!! I'll be infusing gin for the first time; I've only used vodka and brandy before and a Merlot wine once I believe. Anyway , How about slow simmering those frozen or fresh cranberries first along with the sugar and water prior to adding the gin? Flavourful for sauce so it should be for ginโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜€

Perfect! Hope you enjoy. Yes sloe gin is also wonderful, and there are so many other wonderful combinations worth trying too.

Sounds lovely, just bought some cranberries so will give it a go. I normally make sloe gin (from foraged sloes) and have also made gooseberry gin (delicious) and blackberry whisky (lethal!!).

Thanks Jane, it is absolutely perfect for this time of year. Actually I'm British, hence the fondness for G&Ts, but as New England is my new home, it seemed only right to incorporate and it works so well.

This is brilliant. So perfect for the holiday season and so very true to your New England roots. i have a big pot of cranberries sitting in my fridge right now, so I think I'm going to make some of this and give half to my gin loving best friend to fill the gin glasses I've just bought her for Christmas.

I can't wait to hear how it turns out! Sloe Gin Fizz was one of the first drinks I learned to make when I went to bartending school a million years ago. My husband loves gin; I may have to try this for him. How perfect for the holidays and for Fiesta Friday! Thanks so much for sharing it with us all! ๐Ÿ˜€
