In reply to Debbie tsaltas. The cookies don't actually soak all that much, so I wouldn't really expect it to go all the way to the middle. And in fact, if you prefer to soak them for a bit longer you can - you can even lay them all out in a baking sheet and pour the syrup over and leave an hour or more.

I like to know why sometimes my mouth on my current doesn’t soak up the honey right to the middle is there something I’m doing wrong

I love trying out dishes from other culture, especially desserts and snacks. And these cookies look so good, and I'm loving all the ingredients. I'll definitely want to try this one. 🙂

Our local Greek restaurant makes something similar to these. I was delighted to try the recipe! They are so good!
