In reply to Sue. I used unsweetened, since to me there's plenty of sweetness from other ingredients, but I'm sure sweetened would be fine as well.

In reply to Amy. Glad you hear you enjoyed! And yes I can still definitely see it working without roasting the apple, it's mainly I think the little bit of drying helps to avoid the apple making the base moist (although if you eat them soon, that's less of an issue!)
