Ingredients

  • 2 fl oz hot water (recommend boiling hot)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 fl oz calvados (or other apple brandy, see note)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Place the hot water in a heat-resistant glass and add the honey. Stir well to dissolve.
  • Add the calvados/apple brandy and lemon juice and stir to mix then serve. If you like, garnish with a slice or two of apple and a lemon slice.

Notes

I suggest calvados for this, but you can also use other apple brandies. The flavor and sweetness level may vary, so you may need less honey if the brandy is sweeter. Also, while I have suggested 2oz/60ml, it also works well with 1 ½oz/45ml for a slightly less strong drink.
